COVID-19 FAQs

Here at MoreStore Self Storage, we'd like to reassure customers that we are complying with the latest government guidance in order to protect our employees and customers. We will continue to carefully manage the transmission risk at our facility to ensure we stay COVID-19 secure.


At this time our storage facility remains open for all existing customers. New enquiries can be taken and viewings are possible only by prior arrangement and on the proviso that strict safety procedures are followed. Please contact us to find out more.


What must I do if I am visiting the facility?


New Customers


  • New customers should make contact by phone or email in the first instance.
  • Once a viewing is arranged, please come to our office at Unit 23 and wait outside. A member of our team will meet you at your allocated time.
  • Please ensure that all members of your household are well and not showing any symptoms of COVID-19 before visiting the storage facility.
  • Customers must sanitise their hands on arrival and on leaving the facility. Hand sanitiser is available throughout.
  • We request that all customers maintain a 2m social distance from our staff and others on site - at all times.
  • Each visit should be as quick and efficient as possible to reduce contact time.
  • Ideally, only one person from your household should visit the facility.
  • Please feel free to wear a face-covering if you wish.
  • After a viewing, communication with our staff should take place outside where possible.
  • Any documents relating to your facility will be emailed rather than given as hard copies.

Existing Customers and all those entering the storage facility


  • Please ensure that all members of your household are well and not showing any symptoms of COVID-19 before visiting the storage facility.
  • Customers must sanitise their hands on arrival and on leaving the facility. Hand sanitiser is available throughout. Customers should also sanitise trolley handles using the sanitiser available.
  • We request that all customers maintain a 2m social distance from our staff and others on site - at all times.
  • Touch points throughout the facility will be regularly sanitised.
  • Each visit should be as quick and efficient as possible to reduce contact time.
  • Ideally, only one person from your household should visit the facility.
  • Please wear a face-covering if you wish.

Why is MoreStore still open to customers?


The latest government guidance is for all retail premises to be closed with some exceptions, including storage and distribution facilities. Our facility is open because we serve small business customers, some of whom may be engaged in key supply chains. In addition, we would like to provide our customers with access to personal storage that may be required during this period.


What changes have been made to opening hours and procedures?


Following on from the latest government advice, our physical offices are now closed to visitors, but we are still contactable by telephone and email as follows:

The storage facility is open as usual 24 hours a day. Our phone lines and email are monitored 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.


We have also implemented the following additional changes to our processes as follows:


  • We are currently not able to accept cash or cheques but we can process payments via credit or debit card, and will continue to process Direct Debits.
  • We are currently no longer accepting deliveries on site.
  • Forklift truck services are also temporarily suspended.

If I am not on Direct Debit, how can I phone up and pay?

My booking is due to finish soon, can I still move out?


If you have given us notice and are due to check out, please get in touch with our team to discuss further.


When can I access my unit?


Our facility remains open. You can continue to access your unit in the usual way, subject to the guidelines above. We will advise if this changes.


What happens to my existing reservation?


Our facility remains open, therefore your reservation with us continues. We will contact you to advise should it become necessary to close and make any adjustments to your booking.


What happens if you close the storage facility?


We will only restrict or postpone access to your unit and our storage facilities if we are directed to do so on government advice. If this happens, our team will contact you.
